Dear American Idol viewers,
Please help me stop those trying to ruin American Idol by voting for the worst contestant. There are vulgar websites
promoting this. Their main goals are to ruin the show and get what they call "funny hate mail". They have no intention
of trying to make American Idol better or to stick it to the producers. They are only looking for negative attention
and controversy. On their message board they make fun of new members that join after their favorite contestant gets booted
of the show. Scott Savol is talented indeed, but voting for him when you have no intention to buy his cd is not fair
to Mr. Savol or the contestants you may consider more deserving of the record contract. Why would you vote to give a
recording contract to someone whose cd you don't want? It makes no sense! The only goal it will accomplish is
to make a mockery of the show and then a good show on TV will be canceled. The show asks us to vote for our favorites, so
let us do that. How about taking our own pledge to vote for "who we think is best". I agree, the voting system
needs a lot of work. The lines are often jammed and you can't vote. The way many people power vote makes
it hard for those who don't have two hours to sit by their phone and hit redial. Nothing is perfect, but try to go about
changing the system in a more appropriate manner that does not hurt contestants or viewers that are voting and abiding by
the rules. Email the show, contact media outlets and tell them the voting system needs to change. But please don't
join those that want to ruin the show for a joke. Lets fight back and take back the show! Please take a pledge
to help stop these individuals and vote like never before for who you truly think is the best! Beat them at their own
game fairly. Feel free to visit the message board linked to this site, and tell how you will spend Tuesday evening taking
back OUR show and voting for the best! Please visit other reputable appropriate AI sites and show the
world that America does know how to vote! .
Thank you!
